Old print techniques return

Windsor Jennings has seen an interesting trend in the past six months – a return to a printing technique that was created in 1440!

Letterpress printing is one of the oldest forms of printing where the font is embedded into the paper – relief printing. It produces literature which has a tactile quality, with a thick layer of ink and a slight indentation where the type has pressed against the paper.

The finished article has a definite sense of quality and its touchy-feely appeal has encouraged several clients to use this for business cards, invitations and stationery because they believe their customers are more likely to retain their literature because of it.

Sometimes the old ways are the best ways!
